Her Voice of the Valley
The outdoors are for everyone.
With that in mind, we wanted to create a safe space for female-identifying and non-binary individuals to gather in the spirit of adventure and storytelling.
Tales of High Adventure
Ladies Winter 14er Training is a Facebook group created by avid-hiker Sasa Alexander in 2024. The group was created as a way for mountaineering-Colorado women to connect and help each other stay motivated during the winter season in order to “kick tushy for the 2025 14er summer season,” as stated on the group’s About Page.
A Night with Backcountry Beauties
Starting with a post seeking backcountry touring partners, accidental-founder Ellie Frost went on to create this Colorado-based community & app dedicated to empowering women through outdoor adventures. From backcountry skiing to hiking, they provide a platform for women to connect, explore, and thrive in nature.
A Conversation with a Wild Wanderer
We had Laura M. Clark, a Colorado mountaineer who has solo summited over 600 peaks above 13,000 feet, come on the podcast to chat with us about her advice for women looking to start solo-hiking, her own experiences in the outdoors and why getting outside is so important to her.
Your Next Outdoor Adventure
We start near Denver and travel north through the Front Range, visiting Rocky Mountain National Park, and then make our way south toward Vail, Colorado. Down through the Arkansas Valley we go before turning West over Cottonwood Pass and arriving in beautiful Crested Butte, Colo. Where will you choose to explore next?

We'd love to hear from you!
